The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS) secures the management of the Distributed European School of Taxonomy.
Furthermore, during the academic year 2012-2013, the RBINS provided grants to 32 participants to help defray expenses associated with course attendance, travel and accommodation.

The Museo di Storia Naturale of Firenze is greatly acknowledged for offering financial support to attend the training course Entomological research in protected areas in 2014
and for the 2015 training.

The Museo Civico di Storia Naturale Ferrara and the Municipality of Ferrara are greatly acknowledged for offering financial support to attend the 'Training programme in Entomology (special. Diptera Syrphidae), emphasis on collection management and bioindicator use', edition 2015.

The Abruzzo Lazio and Molise National park and Pettersson Elektronik (Sweden) are greatly acknowledged for sponsoring the course ‘Acoustic identification of bats’, in June 2014 and 2015.

The World Association of Copepodologists is greatly acknowledged for sponsoring the participation of two trainees in our training programme on Copepoda of 2012.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences is greatly acknowledged for sponsoring the international graduate school course 'Basics of Taxonomy', edition 2012, edition 2015 and edition 2016 at the Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Sciences.

Within the framework of the European Distributed Institute of Taxonomy (EDIT), two Expert-in-training programmes (2008-2009 and 2009-2010) and one Modern Taxonomy programme (2010-2011) were organised. During this period, 116 students received financial support to attend their DEST training course.
