The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS) secures the management of the Distributed European School of Taxonomy.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences is greatly acknowledged for sponsoring the international graduate school course 'Basics of Taxonomy', edition 2012, edition 2015 and edition 2016 at the Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Sciences.
Within the framework of the European Distributed Institute of Taxonomy (EDIT), two Expert-in-training programmes (2008-2009 and 2009-2010) and one Modern Taxonomy programme (2010-2011) were organised. During this period, 116 students received financial support to attend their DEST training course.
